Short story – tema la engleza
October 22nd, 2006Am tema la engleza sa fac o povestioara de 250 de cuvinte. Decat sa o postez pe site de referate, mai bine aici. Nu folosi daca esti in scoala cu mine !!
She shut the door and picked up the telephone. The voice on the other end was soft and calm. She had just arrived from work and didn’t even have time to take off her jacket. “I’m at the hospital. I had an accident this morning.� said her husband. She was shocked and couldn’t believe it at first. They talked for about a minute. He told her that he already had had an operation on his left foot and everything was alright.
She rushed to pick her purse and car keys and got out of the house immediately. She started driving fast towards the hospital and because of that a policeman pulled her over. She waited in the car and watched him approach slowly in the rearview mirror. “Do you have any idea at what speed were you driving?� he asked after checking her licence and registration. “I’m sorry, officer, but I am on my way to the hospital to see my husband. It’s an emergency.� she replied. He looked into her eyes with a malicious smile. She knew then that there was no possible way to make him believe the truth.
“Ma’am, I’m afraid I’m going to have to write you a ticket.� the policeman said while pulling out his pen. She tried to explain the situation but there was no use. After taking the ticket, she drove away without even saying “goodbye�.
